I have a really dark picture and need to know if replacing the bulbs is the solution. I had a tech out thecleaned the optics and turned up the brightness on the bulbs but now its worse and I cannot hardly see the pic during a night scene.

If he turned up the brightness as you said he did , then when the night scene comes on , what do you expect there to be ???

Replaceing 3 "bulbs" as you call them (They are actually called "CRT"s) is NOT the answer...
Call the tech back & have him crank it up some more...
