Sony DVP-CX995V Can't Post
My DVD was working perfectly until last night. After shutting it down, I tried to turn it on the next day. It came on but wouldn't do a thing. A code on the front said C 32 00. I opened it up and found that the previous disk was still in player and that the drive belt had come off pullies. I reattached the belt and the disc ejected but the main disk tray would not turn to any other disc. The unit powers on with the Sony DVP logo but the open/close or disc change will not function and the code reappears soon after the unit will shut down.

Been awhile. If belts too loose, replace them. Probably carousel mechanism 'timing' needs to be put right.

Thanks for the reply. I have ordered the 3 belts and a service manual. I have about 15 years Electronics, TV and AV background but its been awhile. Need to brush up. How is "timing" accomplished?

Unfortunately, I can get this unit to do anything other than power up with Sony DVP screen. If I attempt to use any buttons, I get C 32 00 error code and the unit shuts down. Don't know where to go from here but to repair shop.

Thanks to all who chimed in. I replaced the 3 drive belts and the unit is now back to normal.
