funai dvd player Can't Post
Hi i have a funai dr-b2737, i have had it for about 3 years.
my problem is, it will nor record or format however it will play, i have tried to clean inside of dvd and with the dvd cleaning solution i tried to clean laser lens, at first i thought i'd cracked it as it started to record but only for 30/40 secounds. It has worked reasonbly ok for the past few years.
I am using phillips dvd-rw.

Thanks for replying, i am not sure what you mean?
Is this a problem that i can fix? or do i need to take it somewhere to be fixed? Is it worth my while getting it fixed?
I would like to try and repair it myself.

Can you desolder capacitor, test it for value/esr, reinstall and resolder?

If you say YES, then you can handle the repair;
If you say NO, then you would be better off with a professional repairer.Frown

You can wash disposable plastics possibly re-use couple or 3 more times, but u can't repair disposable dvd players. 3 years are way too long.
