I'm using a Durabrand analog television connected to a digital Magnavox DVD Player/Recorder. I receive a few local area digital channels, presumably received thru the DVD unit since I do not have cable or satellite. I've been told that I'm lucky to get digital at all with this set-up. The problem is this: my channel reception fades in and out and often has distorted images, not all the time but often enough to be a bother. I'm wondering if reception would be better with a digital television or if I need cable or satellite to eliminate this problem. Any thoughts appreciated.
