2) Your answer should be contained in the Quick Setup Guide &/or Operating Instructions.
Mostly depends on what signal is supplied to which input & also determined by material broadcast by stations.
You/they can't make 'Birth of a Nation' (1915) or 'Father Knows Best' (1954 to 1960) 1080p.
