32" Vizio Can't Post

Okay, so I have a problem.

I work for a Church and we recently ordered a 32" Vizio television monitor to use as an announcement board in our church lobby. We have received the monitor and have successfully been able to view pictures (.jpg files) on the monitor, even in a slideshow format, from a flash drive. However, we want the images to take up the entirety of the television screen, instead of the small square that they do. They are visible, but it would be far more optimal if we could maximize their screen size without losing picture quality significantly. We can't seem to get the television to read anything but .jpg at this point in time so using a different file format seems to be out of the question.

If anyone has any ideas for me to try, please let me know immediately. I appreciate it.

Crystal ball not working, but Google is:
I punched in all the relevant set information that you provided (Vizio 32") and received:
About 3,280,000 results (0.16 seconds)

Too many to go through myself.Crazy
