AWA TFT D81G	Can't Post

Anyone help me with this TV? I set it up yesterday and auto searched for local stations in the Adelaide area.

It all went well until I tried to jump to a channel using the number buttons on the remote. Nothing happens.

I can scroll the channels OK using the program up or down button.

If you know how to use the number buttons [ 1-9 ] to jump from one channel to another please help. Smile

Press 0 before the channel.

eg. 07 is channel 7

09 is channel 9

Thanks for your advice.

I went back to the shop and had a lot of help. They said the same as you did.

However I am not happy with doing the 0 before the number bit but, since it is necessary to press two buttons anyway, for numbers below 10 that is, I relocated all the five channels available in Adelaide, in the edit menu, so that they can be jumped to by pressing the same button twice for whichever channel.

So ABC is on button number 1, channel 7 on 2, channel 9 on 3, channel 10 on 4 and SBS on 5.

The TV of course thinks that the sequence is, 11,22,33,44,and 55.

I hope that makes sense to you, or anybody.

I suggest you buy a digital set top box, it improves receptions as well as crystal clear image.

just buy a base model from Chandler for $99. Centrex is the brand. And guess what? You don't even have to press 0 at the front to change channel.....hahahhaha..... 7 is seven 9 is nine....etc....cool or what.

And if you have a computer. Definitely set it up because you can also have a dual function.....HUGE Screen

and Nice and clear TV. what more can you ask for.....and all below 2K!

Thanks for your help.

I'll maybe get a set top box as you suggest. I don't know about connecting my computer to the TV as they are in seperate rooms.
