LCD Generating Heat Can't Post

Hi.
I have a Sharp 46" LCD. Is it normal for the tv to generate heat? I don't notice the heat unless I'm standing a few inches form it. If it is normal how do I determine if it is generating more heat than it should?

Thanks,
James

When the smoke/flames become so intense that you must leave the room and call the fire department ...Shocked

I think I got it.
If I grab the top of the TV and get 3rd degree burns on my hand, it's time to get a new TV?

I'm watching LPGA and the TV seems to be a bit warmer now.
