LCD TV helP! Can't Post

Hi, I own a 32" Syntax Olevia LCD TV... its specification state that it can support up to 1080i
I am connecting an old DVD player to it, that I think only supports up to 480P... should I get a newer DVD player?
Would it affect the picture quality on the LCD TV?
if so.. what DVD players would be a good choice? I'm not looking for anything expensive but will do the job well

thanks

if you should get a new dvd player? > NO! , get a better display to match a new and improved dvd player. if not! it's ok too!
Would it affect the picture quality on the LCD TV? > why put a premium gas into a yugo. Picture quality would still remain OLIVIA picture. But if you do so, what better player than SYNTAX DVD Player. Im well aware that would be inexpensive and would do the job well for OLIVIA/SYNTAX lcd's related specification.

for 1080i you need a blu ray disc player. I suggest a ps3 since they have that and they are a gaming consul as well and generally cheaper then a normal blu ray player.

There are many DVD players which can support 1080i. In my opinion I suggest you for Philips DVP5960. It may be good choice for you.

1) 3.5 year old post
2) TV has probably met the dumpster by now considering the longevity of sets these days.
