Vizio 37" issue	Can't Post

I have a 37' lcd vizio, it all of a sudden made a loud screechy noise and then looked all snowy,so I turned it off. Now it will not come on at all. I called vizio (it is 4 years old, so way out of warrenty) the gal said it sounded like the backlight.
1. How can I tell for sure?
2. Where do I find the backlight?
3. Is it easy to replace?

First off , I need to tell you that I do NOT work on these types of TVs...
BUT , from what I've seen & learned here , backlights would NOT cause a "screechy noise" & then prevent the set from turning on...
You have a more serious problem that requires a qualified tech to diagnos...
In other words , take it in to a TV shop or have them come out to where the TV is & get their advice...
