external speakers Can't Post

I purchased a dynex 40in lcd 4 my sons play room. he plays the wii and watches icarly(6yrs old). I wanted some sound coming from the back,i had a pair of boston bookshelf speakers that i hooked up to the tv,however i get very little sound from them. I have 2 put my ears to them to hear anything coming out. the bostons are a nice heavy great sounding speaker that i had on a s.sound. I think the tv does not have enough to put out for those speakers. does some1 make an inline amp that i can hook up,or any other ideas.

Consult your Dynex user manual in regards to speaker hookups, ratings, etc.Cool

If you connected the speakers to the RCA jacks on the back of your set this is just a preamp output (not a power amp.) so you can connect any stereo amplifier to this output then to your speakers. Check around the house for any amplifiers such as ghetto blasters, stereo receivers etc. with an aux. input (or Tape input, CD input etc.).
