moved the tv to another room pluged it in and it worked fine but when pressed the channel button it went black. the audio is stiil there and u can see the picture if you shine a light on the screen. i have the back off but cant seem to get a look at the board or lights

That's because you've just taken the back cover off. Now try removing internal covers/shields. Wink

Once you do...
Check fuses, look for any puffed lytics and if you have a DVM and the edge connectors of the power supply and inverter boards are labeled, take some measurements.
