Samsung PN50A450P1D repair.

I have a Samsung plasma TV manufactured in April 2008. Model number PN50A450P1D. This morning I turned it on and the screen was visible, but very dark. And what should be white on the picture, is now a red-ish color. When I look closely at it, I can see a lot of little red dots. I’ve repaired things on my own before. So I have no problem opening the TV up and replacing whatever needs to be replaced. What is it that sounds like it needs to be replaced?
