Coolant fluid. Can't Post

I was branded as some sort of scare monger for saying coolant was an extreme danger to your health. People posted it was simple antifreeze and no one died of that. Well now lets look at that with respect to what Chinese antifreeze is. Diethylene glycol, please drop that into google. You will find the Chinese used this as a sweetner in toothpaste and have killed hundreds. So here is your proof, do you know who mixed your coolant, do you know what is in it. Do you know where it came from before someone bottled it up and called it coolant. Yes the world population is a bit high, perhaps we dont need you, so be cool.

Number one. Don't drink coolant, it could be hazardous to your health.

Number two. When changing CRT coolant, always wash your hands afterwards to remove the residue.

These are pretty simple steps that seem more like common sense than anything. If that coolant was THAT dangerous there'd be TV guys dropping like flies the past 20 some odd years they've been using it.

In fact, I've heard of no TV repair person in this field that's ever died and had his death linked to CRT coolant exposure.

I never did talk of poisoning as such, I talked of it being a carsenogenic. I know of several techs including myself who have had types of cancer related to contaminents. My question to you is do you wish to tell people its safe and you know the exact mix in your fluid. Or like I do, tell them to handle with extreme care, use rubber gloves etc. My arguement is, my advice will not cause harm, yours could.
