Has anyone heard of anything that could cause memory loss or adverse health conditions caused by a television? When I go behind my projection tv, I hear a high pitched squeal and start to feel light headed.

you need a doctor not us!.the only thing likely to cause memory loss is the mindnumbing crap that is shown on most channels and the noise is probably the horizontal frequency whistle or power supply buzzing.you may have sensitive hearing to be able to hear that.

Maybe, it is just a coincidence, but everytime I watch that tv I feel like I experience slurred speach, memory loss, etc... It may just be all in my head. I remember seeing a warning sign in the back that said something about radioactive waves or something like that. It says do not operate tv without panel in place or screw removed. Have you heard of this?

crt's can emit some radiation if the high voltage goes over about 32000 volts but with built in safety circuits I have never known this happen.I have worked on tv's since Noah turned up with two for repair and I (think) I am still normal.But dont ask my wife!!
