Hitachi Rear projection Can't Post

I just recieved a Hitachi 52 inch model number CU4601b I didnt cost me anything Becuase it didnt work, I got it working cold solder joint in power supply, But its not very clear and I cant get the Blue convergance to work it moves but wont travel to the left enough to line up. I'm not new to electronic repair so the power supply wasnt a problem but convergance and such I'm not sure about what to try first, Where should I begin. Thanks Mike.

Look for convergence ICs most big screen sets use STK392-110 (or STK of some kind) they will be on large aluminum heat sinks & there are usually 2 of them. Often it's just cold solder on these ICs but you may have to replace them. It's often best to change both ICs at the same time; if one is gone the second will be not far behind. You sound like you have some knowledge of electronics if the ICs don't fix your problem it may be resistors in the area of these ICs that have altered in value (There are often 4 or 6 resistors near each IC & any one of them could have changed in value). You can find ICs at a good price by clicking here
