LG Convergence problem

I have a LG RT44NZ21RB rear projection TV.
The other day I turned it on and the colors we all out of wack, like I was watching a 3D movie without the glasses.
Also the picture is flicking. and making a kind of vapping noise.
I have done a little bit of research and came to the conclusion that it was the convergence IC's. I didn't want to take any risks so I bought a whole new convergence board, incase the resistors or capacitors were blown too.
But this didn't fix the problem...
Could anyone please suggest what could be wrong with it, and how I can fix it...
Any help would be much appreciated !
