PTK-169 PIP BYPASS Can't Post

Anyone know of a PIP bypass for PTK-169.... Have a set with no video, everything else okay.... Working blind -- no schematic -- I did find video going into PIP module but not coming out... If I can, I'd like to jumper it out of the circuit -- customer doesn't use it anyway.

Thanks for your help.

hi, sounds like you might have a scope. if so, why not probe around and see if you can pick up video coming out.

calvin, just did one of those, wasn`t a video problem, turned out to be a vertical issue, which upon further troubleshooting turned out to be an open pin 2 to pin 3 on the flyback which supplies B+ to the vertical circuit. Easy way to check is turn on set and turn up G2 for green tube and then look directly into green lens and see what you`ve got, if it looks like a bowtie or a figure 8 laying on it`s side you have a bad flyback. There is no pip bypass for a 169 that I`m aware of.
