RCA P46813BL	Can't Post

I have an RCA P46813BL Projection T.V. which has been in storage for a year. I tried powering it on but it will not power up. It makes sounds like it is turning on and off a couple of times then stops. I took the back off and cleaned the dust and dirt out of it and checked for any loose connections but it is still doing the same thing. Anyone have any suggestions other than calling the repairman?

Just had the same problem with my RCA big screen. If you hear a ticking sound when you hold the power switch on it is most likely the Hi-voltage splitter. it is located under the back cover upper left screwed into the shelf that holds the guns. It's easy to spot as it has a 5 or so red hi-voltage leads attached. get the part # off it and google for the best price I paid $19+ shipping and it fixed the problem. CAUTION- be sure set is unplugged and discharged before working on unit. Good luck
