Samsung PCH521R	Can't Post

Hi, Someone jsut gave me one of these cause there is a convergence problem so they bought a new TV. Apparently, the TV was dropped while moving sometime ago and the red gun is out of alignment. When set in convergence mode, the other guns line up perfect but the red seems rotated slightly counterclockwise. Is there any way to repair this myself? I am a PC technician so I know my way around electronics.

If it's not too late, here is how you would enter the mode to fix your convergence problem.

To enter convergence settings:
Mute 1-8-3
Mute 1-8-2 with Power Off

7 - Red
8 - Green
9 - Blue

+100 - Cursor
MPIP - Cursor
STILL - Change cursor direction (up & down, left & right)

To Save Settings - MTS then Power Off.

Hi Wil,

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't have the original remote for the TV. I was able to get into the conv settings but I can't move the cursor around and I can't save the settings. Appart from the obvious suggestion of getting the original remote, is there anyway around this problem?

I found this replacement remote online, the original is not available apparently. Do you think it will work?
