Sony 43" projection Can't Post

Hey everyone I am new to this forum and in need of assisstance. I just received a Sony 43" Projection model KP-43T75 manufactured in 2000. The problem is the picture is screwed up, almost like the color is off. You cannot access the menu and when you turn the volume up or down you don't see anything on the display. When the unit is powered on the standby/timer light flashes continually.
Any suggestions or direction is appreciated.

Thanks!

The timer led should blink a series of single blinks, pause briefly then repeat the blink sequence over and over. Try toi determine the number of blinks as that is an error code.

It appears to be blinking continually, unless it is blinking a "1" with a pause and doing it over and over?

Can you post a picture of what the video looks like? Is it screwed up with a 3D image? Pincushion problem. or etc.

I am not at home right now but will see if I can do it tonite. The picture just seems to have a red hue to it or as if the color is way off. When the sun is shining or the room light is on at night it also seems to bother the picture. Nothing will show on the display when I turn the volume up or down you don't see it happening on the screen. Cartoons seem not to bad on the screen but actual show it is noticable aspecially when there is a lot of white on the screen. Sorry probably not helping a lot but I am a newbie at this.
