Sony KP51HW40	Can't Post

I recently found my unit with the red tube offset, the blue and green seem to be fine. I am not sure what happened but my son mentioned hitting the auto focus. I had the unit repaired for a similar problem in October while still in warranty. I cannot adjust the red to the left or right in the fine adjust mode however I can adjust up and down. What can I do to push the entire red tube to the left and then fine adjust from there. Hopefully this is something that can be done without additional parts. It just upsets me that this unit has had issues ever since I bought it but not enough to warrant a replacement until now. Thanks for your help. BTW, I have downloaded the service manual for pointers.

If your red doesn`t move both ways you either have a bad convergence IC or an open supply voltage resistor or both, many times when the IC fails it will burn or open the low Ohm resistors.

check + & - B+ supplies to convergence IC and condition of solder on the convergence IC`s, there is obviously a voltage missing from one of the supplies or the IC has just failed.
