Toshiba TW65x81	Can't Post

Tv shuts down when plugged in.Chassis #TAC9965.Where can I get A schematic on this tv.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks.

I AM TRYING TO GET A MANUAL FOR YOU, TOSHIBA WEBSITE SHOWS THIS AS A SUPPLEMENT MANUAL AND TO REFER TO FILE # 020-9932 FOR ORIGIONAL MANUAL. WHICH IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND ON THE SITE. THEY(TOSHIBA )HAS RECENTLY CHANGED THERE SITE AND THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS WORKING YET.I HAVE E-MAILED THEM WITH THE PROBLEM SO HOPEFULLY THEY WILL RESPOND.

i just heard back from toshiba today this is the my copy/pasted response from toshiba:
Unfortunately that manual is only available as a Paper copy. We have none
in parts stock and it is listed NLA. You are correct in the file number
you listed.
You might be able to find the manual from a Parts Distributor or from an
online vendor.

If your TV shuts down when plugged in, characterized by the blinking red standby light, it means that there is an internal fault. Most likely an open circuit. By far the most common culprit are the Convergence IC's. Sometimes it's just a cold solder joint so simply re soldering the two IC's will solver the problem, other times they must be replaced. When I did mine it was just a cold joint so it's worth checking

I changed convergence outputs,vertical IC,Audio IC.Disconnected convergence yokes and it still shuts down.

Well, If the TV still says there's a short there must be one.... So I would take out the boards and re solder everything that could possibly get warm. Especially check the convergence connectors on the board they occasionally come loose and the solder joints crack. Other than that just re solder everything..... Good luck
