I recieved a somewhat older 46 inch projection hitachi the guy said it didnt work I got that fixed he said the convergiance was off so he tried messing with the geometry screws nightmare to get fixed but with hours of sitting there with a test pattern I finally got it and found a couple of cold solder joints on the con board.everything seems great but, the black areas look greenish the color seems fine etc... just the greenish tint in the mainly the black areas. He said the CRTs were replaced last year my question is there a way to turn the amount of green down a little or do you have another suggestion.

turn the colour control down to zero on the remote .then turn down(anticlockwise) the green screen voltage till the picture looks black and white.the red/green/blue screen controls are on a plastic block usually screwed to the cabinet inside the front speaker fret which you may have to remove. a bit of patience and time and you should get the grey scale set up ok.

Thanks for answering I removed the speaker cover and plate I found the 3 focus screws they are on the convergence board but I cant find the screen adjustment only the many geomtry screws on the back of the flip down board behind the speaker cover.

 Crt at the base on the flat board there are 2 pots on small one larger and both round. here is pic is one of these the adjustment I am lookingn for. http://img.photobucket.com/...v3/Michaelsstuff.jpg
