no power Can't Post

model # P46101WK , serial # 203680200 , Chassis PTK169BUA, Im a novice so please talk laymen terms, no power 46 in projection, check fuse with tinfoil rapped around it still got nothing

tinfoil is not the way to ck a fuse its the way to destroy a tv

the reason we dont use tinfoil friend is that if there is a short circuit in the tv, when you switched back on it could have blown the electrics in your house with more expense for you. now, try checking the power supply to see if there are any voltages coming out to the rest of the set. there should be at least 120volts . if not ,can you hear the set ticking,which means it is shut down in protection mode. if so disconect the horizontal o/p stage to see if the power supply starts up and the ticking stops.if the standby light is not on then the fault is probably in the power supply of the tv and you need professional help.
