I just use the tinfoil to make the connection to see if i could get power and then i took it off and if you are so smart why couldnt you give me a real answer and not critize what i did thanks for nothing

whenever I get a tv in the shop with tinfoil on the fuse I refuse to work on it and don't know a tech who will

I`ll second shadetree`s remark, and I`m a tech also. Why anyone would put tin foil over an already blown fuse is beyond me, this will generally just cause more components to fry costing you more money, Larry E
