ok i am first time poster and might not know all techinical terms so please answer in layman terms thankyou
i have a sony model # kp-53 ? (4 or v not sure) 85
older tv never any problems till recently we moved now on
video 1 ,2 and 8mm i have black horizantal lines
first i replaced cable box with hd box
plugged red,blue green to video 4 - perfect no black lines perfect picture again
got another cable same as above attached dvd player to video 5
again perfect pic , but if i plug anything into 1,2, 8mm eg x-box,playstation i have black lines
why is this? ,can it be repaired? cost of repair? is it something i could do myself ,i am mechanically inclined --eg i asssemble and repair my own computers ,repair my own cars ,boats etc.
