Set was dead.Found open fuses.Suspected converg. stk392-110's.Didn't have any with me so checked for bad con. at ic's as well as around them,checked inter board connectors for bad solder but looked ok.Resoldered them anyway & everything else that looked suspicious.Replaced fuses & set worked great,for about 2 weeks.Same thing,f850,851 gone.Brought set into shop & ordered stk's,but in meantime checked everything again.Replaced fuses & running great again.Checked current at fuses from cold start and run,ok.Am awaiting stk's,But could they be as highly intermittant as that?I have no schem. for this set so doing the best I can.Anyone have a similar problem?Any help or info appreciated.

ic's along with any component can have intermittent faults.its not unusual

Heard of a problem with these & similar sets. Apparantly from a Toshiba bulletin.One of the hyper board bracket screws puts presser on jumper 010,cracks solder conn. & blows both fuses.Sure enough the jumper had cracked solder on both ends,worse on screw side.The bracket seems to sit right on top of one end of the jumper,pushes down on it.Looks like the culprit.
