Re: [M_Singh] RCA 1993 Model Number F35750ST [In reply to] Can't Post

In Reply To
Hi all,
I have a 1993 RCA TV and it is not fully turning on. When i press the power button it turns on enough to show the channel and then turns right off. Sometimes it turns on and off 4 times automatically with the same results. If any one has had this problem and know how to fix it PLEASE let me know. Its a great TV and would hate to see it go. If you need anymore information let me know I will try and get it to you.
Thanks in advance,Wink
Mel My freind go to this post and follow the instructions and you will be able to solve you trouble i hope. http://www.tv-forums.com/...retube_type._P39469/

i read through some of that and the original poster didn't have the same problem i was having and i am not familiar with the terminology but i am really good with electronics, just not understanding the names of the different parts. If someone had pics or descriptions of the parts that need to be worked on that would be much appreciated.

You seem not to understand any at all, if you red carefully you will reed like for exemple cold solders in the horizontal output circuit most likely your fault, all you have to do is to try to resolder and resolder specially L14401,Q14401,T14401,T14301.now tell me this advice is not in those post? good luck.

Paul you're wright i suspect that his set is a ctc195/97,i myself have one and suspect the fly is bad because all synthoms points to it ,but i'm not gonna spend any money on this one because have plenty of ctc's203 full boards that fit in that CRT.So if thi is his set than the fly is the prime suspect.

Earn who you and what's your interest in this, remember what i said i Suspected about my set's fault. and suspected maybe his fault in case the chassis # is Ctc195/97, besides don't butt, in because i was talking too paul, besides the guy did not give the the Chassis# like he should. and i think you trying to be a smart guy and this forum will not be very good with smart guys in the sense of making fun of others,if you don't want to help or don't know how to,just keep your smartness just for yourself.

firstly the chassis is ( ctc 169 bg5 ) . second you might call it being smart but all i was pointing out was you was telling him all along it was cold solder then you tell him its the fly back . and lastly this forum is about giving advice and therefore if you dont know the chassis then its just guess work . anyway knowing the chassis now your advice could be better

Earn i don't know why you bother. because the guy that requested help for his set don't care otherwise he would have given that info, because Paul did requested it,and the guy just ignored him and all of us,and lefted us here fighting each other for nothing. we should start to sort out here who knows some obout this stuff or nothing at all,and not make fools of ourselfs.
