At times it is amusing...What really burns my toast is when you ask for more info , they hit the road...It makes one think that the general population's IQ is dramatically sinking...OR they're complete idiots....& we may have TOO many of them... Unsure

URGENT ATTENTION: iPod mini will not turn on
Hi
I've owned my Silver iPod mini for around 5 days. I got it from eCost.com and had it delivered here in Canada. Today, I go to turn it on, and it doesn't turn on! Nothing happens. I make sure that the hold switch is off and it's off. I thought that maybe the battery ran out, so I tried to charge it, but the screen was still blank. I tried charging for 5 minutes, and still the same scenerio. So I attach it to my Windows computer though USB 2.0, and Windows does not recognize it in My Computer, iTunes does not pop up, and when I launch iTunes manually, it doesn't recognize it! It doesn't even charge from USB. I don't know what is going on, but I need deparate help immediatley. Is the warranty still good and is there Apple Care in Canada who can help me, or is there not, because the iPod mini has not yet been released in Canada? I need help desperately and immediately.

You can find the manufacture date on the same sticker that you found the model number! My notes tell me that this set is a 19 inch set and you will be better served to forget the repair and move on!

Approximately middle 90's on the vintage.

The click you're hearing is a relay (RL001). Do you have a DVM and can you measure the voltage on IC001 (STR30135) Pin number 3? Should be approximately 155 volts.

Start with what jts1957 said....
You "may" have a resistor or 2 gone out also...
There's more likely the possibility you have a bad connection since it happened when you moved it...
