Re: [manwithnoname6] !!!HELP!!! 2007 Philips 50PFP5332D/37 Flat HDTV - NO POWER, NO LIGHT & WON'T TURN ON !!!! [In reply to] Can't Post

Crazy I would not stress over this. Odds are it is your power supply. Lets do some trouble shooting.
1 Get a multimeter and check the main fuse. It is right by the AC cord. If it is blown then replace the fuse and cross your fingures. Odds are it will blow again. If this happens replace your power supply.
2 If fuse is good, plug in the set and check to see if you have your standby voltage. Should be around 5 volts DC. If you do not, disconnect the wire harness that goes from the power supply to the main board and check again. If voltage still isn't there then replace your power supply. If voltage is there, replace your main board.
3 If the 5V is present when you first check, odds are your power supply and your main board are good.
Go that far and let me know how it works out for you. Good luck to you

When you remove the back of the set. You will fined a couple of caps on the power supply board that are bulged and they need to be replaced, or you can buy a new power supply at www.partstore.com. If you want to just purchase the caps, you can get them at www.mcmelectronics.com
