The menu screen flashes off and on over the picture.Any ideas on a fix

Does it still do that with the keyboard that contains the Menu button unplugged?

I didn't try that.now I have the flashing fixed but the input menu stays on the screen in the righthand corner

Apply a valid signal to that input and see if input menu goes away.
