91' Toshiba 36"	Can't Post

I have a Toshiba 36" TV and am having a "power on problem". When powering on, the power LED light blinks and the TV does not turn on. I have been told that the power supply has gone out and needs to be replaced. Is this difficult and where can I get the parts? I am good with electronics and computers but have never worked with a TV before, however I'm conifident and determinded. Just need a bit of direction. Thanks in advance!!!

My mistake!! Its a 2001 Toshiba 36".

Have you checked all the fuses on the secondary of the SMPS. I have had the same, and found one of these fuses popped. It was quite hidden behind some caps. I have just replaced the fuse after checking for anything shorted and ...ba da bing fixed. Worth a second look

Also got to www.fixyourowntv.com to see if you can enter the service mode to self diagnose. The led blinks might actually be trying to tell you something.
