Advent Q2735A television Can't Post
Hi, i couldnt find anything about this, so i figured i would just post my problem... anyways, here it is, I have an Advent Q2735A flat screen tv.. it worked fine until recently it made a hissing noise and then it made a HUGE snapping noise... it then had power but wouldnt turn back on for a while... now i immediately unplugged it and let it sit for a while... now i took off the back and completely dusted it out (IT WAS FILTHY!!) that worked for about 10 minutes without making a single noise or anything and then it just started to make a high pitched squeal then the snapping noise started again... the tube is alright so this seems like something fixable... can anyone help me out, or point me in the right direction? Thanks a million

The "snapping" sounds like a high voltage arc. See if you can spot where it is arcing and post back.

i took the cover off and fired it up, and it snapped right where the power cord goes into the television... like right on the box... it still gives the television power, since the led light on the front stays lit when its plugged in... there is also some burn looking marks on top of the little black box where the cord goes into...
