This set was dead and upon inspecting it i found the horizontal output transistor and the vertical deflection ic to be shorted. So, I replaced both.
When i tried to power the set on I noticed a spark on the inside of the electron gun (glass tube on the neck of the crt where the video board is connected) and the set did not come on. After pressing the power button again the horizontal transistor started making a loud screaming noise. I checked it out and it was shorted again.
Any of you guys familiar with this set and can give me a hand? Thanks
