I dont know the set but its unlikely to be at the back. If there are any controls to be adjusted on that board it seems a bit silly to me that you have to relay instructions or try it with a mirror. Most sets I have seen have convergence where you can see the picture, it just makes sense. You may be mixing up digital signal Ics with convergence, though converge can be digitally controlled it is an analogue function.
