Connect AV Jacks Can't Post

I have an old Samsung TV that we were moving to another room. When we hooked it up, it says "Video" and "connect AV jacks". We have it hooked up through cable. I have both on channel 4. I have no paperwork and have tried going into the menu but can't get to the right spot. Does anyone know what to do? It worked fine in the other room. Please

You should never do that! The only thing I could find on the back was TXE 1970 and the date of May 1997. This TV works really good otherwise.

I'm doing a search as I type this...
Do you have anything hooked up to the A/V inputs ???...
Are you using the coax connector for your channel reception from your cable box ???...

I don't have anything else hooked up. It was hooked up in a back bedroom and when it wouldn't work in the family room, we hooked it back up in the bedroom exa ctly like it was. There are only a few options on the back of this television. Now it says connect AV jacks. The cables are all tight for the cable connection. Even my husband checked them!

It says VIDEO on the front. Usually you can get to something like "source" and choose Input 1 or Input 2, etc. I can't get to that point and don't know if that is part of it or not.

Sorry about the delay....
Spent the last couple hours searching for a users/instruction manual for your TV...
I'm on dial-up that's sloooowwwww.....Unsure....
NO luck.....I think that's due to your TVs age....(1977 or thereabouts) ...
Only suggestion that I can think of would be to go into the menu & with the cable box on , look for "auto program" or "auto search" or "channel search or ???
Do a search & see what that does...

GOOD LUCK.....Sly....

Thank you anyway. I appreciate your trying to help me. I will keep trying. I usually can figure things out.
Thanks again.
