D40W20 RCA problem

I won this projection HD monitor from DISH network a couple of years ago. I have my tv service through my phone Co. Digital signal. Uses coax for a feed to tv. It was working fine and then my signal would go bad. I would receive parts of the signal but almost like it was scrambled. I could turn off tv and would start up fine again for maybe an hour. I bypassed the coax to the tv by feed my vcr (RCA) the coax and feeding the tv with composite (yellow/white/red) in the back. Worked fine and now intermittantly I get scrambling similar to before. HERE is something I found out. I was going to move the tv around and plugged the composite into the second set on the back of the tv and the picture went back to normal. I have a degree in electronices and it sounds like a loose board. I don't have a problem reseating the boards in the back if I knew how to bleed down the yolk capacitors. I don't want to be shot across the room. Now if the screen goes bad I grab the top the the tv and give it a shake. Any suggestions if my diagnosis is correct and how to drain the capacitors. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If I need to reseat the boards, would it be a good idea to clean the slots and board edges with tuner cleaner. Thank you for any suggestions, Joe
