Exchanging TV tubes????? Can't Post

Well I've got a dilema here, I have KVT29sz1 Sony tv with an operational tube but with a dead chassis, and also I've seen a 68cm trinitron which I wish to purchase for a few bucks (dont know which model) in working condition but with a faint green picture .....both are stereo tv...both are relatively the same age.....about 8 years old......my question would it be posible to use the KVT29sz1 tube with the working chassis????? you see I am trying to build a TV out of two........

You should be aware that even if the two tubes are interchangeable, it is not always a simple matter of just swapping the tubes. Color CRTs require set up of both purity and convergence. Without the proper knowledge and test equipment, that can be very difficult if not impossible for a novice.
