Fujitsu pds4233w Troubleshooting

I have a 42 inch Fujitsu pds4233w plasma screen. I have had it for just over 3 years and I am starting to have troubles. When I turn it on the green power light comes on, but it takes anywhere from 2 minutes to 10 minutes before I get a picture. When it comes on sometimes it stays on till I turn it off and sometimes the picture will go off 10 minutes or so. I took it to an authorized Fujitsu dealership and they say I have to replace a main circuitboard, cost of $1600. Has anyone heard of this problem occurring and does it sound like a circuitboard? Any suggestions
