Grundig CUC4510 Dead Can't Post

Hi,
I got a Grundig CUC4510 dead and there's a squealing noise coming from the set. I replaced the electrolytics in the power supply but the set remained the same. Anyone got an idea what could be faulty??
Thanks in advance

check the horizontal out transistor for short circuit.if it measures ok, take it out of the board switch on and see if you have about 120 volts on the centre pin where t it was soldered in.if you have then the fault is probably in the flyback/scan circuitry

HI again,
I found 163Volts. Is that ok? sorry if i'm asking silly questions but I just finished my school and I still need some practice for the job:)
Could it be that the EHT transformer is faulty since the squealing noise seems to be coming from it!!
Thanks a lot for your help!!

if that voltage drops low with the transistor in circuit then the transformer is probably croaked.

what voltage do you have on the collector pin of HOT with it in circuit?
