HITACHI PT-46001 help Can't Post

hey guys, i have an old hitachi pt-46001, works great but the only problem is that the red colour seems to be off center making the picture unclear. Would their be anyway to reposition the bulbs or clean the bulbs for a better picture?

i just took the back off of the tv, and the rear mirror seems a little dirty, can i clean it with normal glass cleaner or do i need a special solution?

if the red is off centre suddenly then you have a convergence problem. dont go tweaking any screws unless you know what your doing.clean the mirror and the crt faces with a damp cloth and dry with a fluff free cloth. Its probably the convergence amp ic's need changing

yah i just cleaned up the mirror and faces of the lenses
also i forgot to mention that the colour of the tv isn't what it used to be back when it was new, i'm guessing that the bulbs might have to be replaced?
do you think i should spend the money to get it fixed or don't bother?

It will cost far more than the tv is worth to replace the tubes so if the set has lost its sparkle dump it
