How to remove screen cover?

I have Samsung UN48J5000AFXZA that has a small spot of "gunk" on the inside of the plastic screen cover. I'm looking for the easiest way to access it in order to clean off the "gunk". It's right in the center of the screen so very noticeable when the picture is bright. I found a instructional YT video on how to replace the main panel but it looked like way more disassembling than necessary just to clean the inside of the plastic screen cover. I removed the perimeter Philip head screws hoping that would allow the front cover to pop off but it didn't so I stopped there.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
