JVC AV-31BM3	Can't Post

I just got this tv from my girlfriend, it didnt come with a remote, i bought a universal and none of the codes work, bought another remote and none of those codes work either...it seems like the sensor in the tv is bad....any suggestions??? thank you

pull the chassis back to reveal the front board. the sensor has three legs and is about half inch square soldered on to go behind the front window in the cabinet. then unsolder it order new one from jvc or local shop and fit it.
