Do you actually know how to check components- or do you just replace components in the vain hope"gotta be this faulty"- if so you will probably replace every component - then you may get lucky- why don't you take your tv to a tv repair guy- & get orf dem hops- you may end up like me!.Unimpressed

Give "generic" info - Get "generic" response.Angelic

And I suppose you want us to tell you that: "that is caused by a defective part, location number: Q123, Number on Part: ABCcba, available at http//www.wxyz.electronics.com?

Does the transistor "by the flyback" have over 100 volts on its "collector?"

Check to see how the board is secured to the neck of the tube, some mfg. use clamps, some a blob of hot glue. Some use both.
Take a box cutter and CAREFULLY cut through glue even with where the socket and tube join. "Rocking/pulling" board off as you do so.

If neither method works, you could always take just a little "C-4" ... takes it right off!
