Need some help here please. Set has sound but no picture. When I increase the screen voltage from the flyback I see one horizontal line on the screen. I checked the vertical deflection Ic (IC 301) and it was damaged. I replaced it but that still did not solve my problem.
I also notice that set doesn't respond to power button. It powers on once plugged in but doesn't shut off when i hit the power button.

For the benefit of others with this set, I was able to solve the problem in the vertical section. It turned out that R307 had apparently opened up when the vertical deflection IC was shorted. I replaced R307 and set powers on fine.

However, one little problem still exists. The child lock is activated! From reading i realise that an original remote for this set is needed in order to disable it. So i'm in search of one.
