Mexican Zenith Can't Post

I had a friend check our Zenith 1994 set because it had been in a storage building (no heat) for 5 yrs. SLS2504EW When we turned it on it was fine until we plugged in the cable/satellite to it. Then it immediately kicks the house breaker. I want to get it fixed unless it is the picture tube. Is there a test to see if it is indeed the pic tube causing it? There was no evidence of a mouse nest, & the cord seems fine. I know there is a dead short in it somewhere? Any suggestions?

there has to be a direct short across ac line otherwise would blow tv fuse before house fuse ck ac line again unless someone has put aluminun foil across tv fuse

My husband said it just happened when he put the yoke on it. The guy was trouble shooting it, thru some different steps.
