This TV does not turn on. I was told it turned on when some one gave it to me. They have little motive for lying.
I hear a slight hum from the transformer and some slight white noise from the speakers, but the picture is completely black.
I see a "A/V reset" button on the tube. What does that do? Do I need the remote to turn it on maybe? I have little experience in fixing tvs, but if it's something simple I can probably manage. What might be wrong with this tv? Could a slightly bumpy ride in my car left this tv inoperable? Is my judgment of human character really this far off?
