Mitsubishi CS-35403	Can't Post

Mitsubishi 35" TV (CS-35403) just started displaying only a blue or black screen, depending on which input is selected. The DVD player and satellite box work fine on a different set.

Is this fixable? Can I (a total layperson) do the job or do I need pay a pro? Or, is it just time to retire this TV, made in 1995? Thank you so much.

Most of the parts for that set are no longer available from Mitsubishi.

Lets try the standard Mitsubishi PIP test, Start the PIP ( pix in pix ) and see if the video comes up, second see if all the on screen displays for volume and menu come up, it's a strech but you may simply have the PIP problem

Thanks so much for responding.
The menu options (both audio and video) all come up and seem to work, but PIP did not show any picture.
