Mitsubishi WT-42315 HELP

i have had my Mitsubishi WT-42315 for about a year and a half. i do not have it set up for HDTV and i realize the picture quality i get from digital cable and local stations will not be that good. i have an extended warranty with Ulitimate and called them out to look at my tv for the reasons below:
1. color seemed off, lot of red
2. i had to manually adjust the convergence settings every couple of days
3. notice what i call ghosting on the screen, you can notice it most with ppl's faces when they move on the screen.
the repair man came out and hooked his computer to the tv and said the blue setttings were way off, so he adjusted them and set it to the factory defaults. he basically told me that my tv wasn't that good and all the picture problems i am having are because of the cable company i.e. the "ghosting" and color problems. this does not seem right to me and now it has been 2 weeks and i have adjusted the convergense settings 3 times over the past week. i want to have them come back out as i think something is wrong with the hardware. any one have any advice or tips for this TV?
